Naomi,

I tried to teach Joshua not to jump on the couch! Although, it does look like Joshua and especially Malachai were having a wonderful time. Maybe you should teach them the "10 little monkey jumping on the bed (couch)song............Just in case someone gets hurt while jumping.

Love,

Ginny

well, while we certainly enjoy couch jumping, it doesn't happen every day . . .
the way I see it, I'm preparing my kids for a broader issues of Christian liberty; it's kind of like drinking a beer:
1. you shouldn't do it all the time
2. there are appropriate times to do it
3. there are appropriate times NOT to do it
4. there are appropriate people to do it with.
5. there are appropriate places to do it.
6. enjoy it!
7. you should know when to stop.

Ginny - - that explains why one of the first things that Joshua did when we go our first apartment was to stand on the couch - - "because I am the King of my house, and I can!" was what he told me.

while we didn't jump on couches when you were a wee girl--actually, I don't think we had a couch. . . sounds like you're using couch jumping to teach discernment- very creative. . .
