it's unfortunate, really . . .

our sweet Josu is talking more and more lately. to his great delight he has discovered that he can say his brother's name -- he lives his life gleefully calling out for Malachai - - "caca!"
"ma-ca" we prompt him . . . "caca!"
"chai" . . . . "caca!"
"hmmm . . . chai-chai" . . . . "caca!"

Too funny! At least people understand that he is little - now if he is still calling him that when Malachai is a teen we may have to speak sternly :)

HA!!! That is fantastic. (well, at least for now...) I had a nephew who had a really hard time saying "Chris"- it always came out sounding like the "s" word. lol Poor kid was always getting "almost" discipline from his mom before she would realize what he was saying. Chris didn't help matters any by laughing each time. lol

In Swahili, "Kaka" means "brother" and is used as a general term as well. (Meaning, you use it with strangers when you don't know their name, kind of like "sir"). THAT was a hard one to get used to!
